I started my day with Jeffrey, Patrick, Ray and Jimmy ... all lucky rescues that have found the good life with dog trainer Martina Contreras.

Jeffrey, 13 the senior of the group (and what a sweetie he is!)

Jimmy, the smallest but perhaps the mightiest of the group

Ray, the shyest of the group (can't blame the guy after you hear his story)

Patrick, 100% Border Collie... 'throw the ball already!'
