PWDCNC Holiday Party | Sunol Pet Photographer

It's always a pleasure to get to take portraits at the Portuguese Water Dog Club of Northern California holiday party!...

Holiday Photos | Alameda Portrait Photographer

We had a blast donating our photography services for the Holiday Photo fundraiser at Dog Bone Alley! It was a record year, with 40 sittings, raising over $1,100 for the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter!

Magic and Django | Pet Portrait Photographer

I have had the pleasure of photographing these two lovely labs a few times over the years. They will soon be moving to the East Coast, so it was fun to squeeze in a mini-session before they go. Look at those sweet faces and striking electric eyes!

Oh Maggie! | Pet Portrait Photographer

Maggie's adoring mom had told me that Maggie was beautiful, but blind. What I didn't expect was her effusive spirit! 10 year old Maggie has learned not only to carefully navigate her home, she has learned to trust her mom's directions. She posed like a pro. And I don't think the smile on her face or the wagging tail stopped for a moment. What a pleasure to get to photograph this special girl!

Dottie and Flicker | Oakland Pet Photographer

To know them is to love them! Dottie (take a guess!) and Flicker are two curious, playful and sweet kittens. They were not shy for their session, posing and playing the whole time.

Cody and Caylee | Tahoe Portrait Photographer

What do you get when you send a photographer to one of the most gorgeous places on earth to take pictures of her favorite breed of dog? One giddy photographer!

Cody and Caylee, both rescues, are two beautiful and sweet Rottweilers! Having come from hard times it is heartwarming to know these two found such an amazing forever family! Cody and Caylee were both exceptional models for me and despite a hazy sky we got some stunning images!

2011 Weim Country Gala

I can't say enough positive things about the Gala! I just love it! The organizers are incredibly hospitable, the attendees are generous and fun, the location is stunning, the vendors are top notch, the food is incredible, the wine delicious... and the dogs... well, the Weims are simply irresistible!.... It was an honor and pleasure to be the event photographer.

Golden Gang of Love....

As most of you are familiar, my studio style is to keep it simple and neutral. Lots of grey backdrops. But lately I've had this little fantasy of doing a session on a bright color. I couldn't resist when this client said she wished to have her Golden's photographed on TEAL!... Not only was it fun to shoot on this bright color, Nacina's gang of Golden love was just to die for... some of the most beautiful, happy and delightful dogs ever! Hannah (The Poser), Teala (The Love) and Katie (The Puppy) are from her breeding program, Dave (The Rescue) is the foster that they couldn't let go... All of them were a pleasure to photograph!

Bay Area Pet Fair 2011

The Bay Area Pet Fair and Adoptathon (sponsored by Pet Food Express) is back!

This is our favorite fair of the year! Great people, great pets and great cause! Over 400 animals were adopted and, as you probably know, this is a cause that I am passionate about. My two adopted dogs accompanied me to the event. In fact, it was at the 2008 BAPF that we adopted our Chihuahua, Biella, from the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society!

The TPP booth was pleased to be participating. We booked some private sessions and also did single shot sessions at the event. Here are some highlights:

Tony and Rosie

Tony is a 12.5 year old Flat Coat Retriever that came from the SPCA when he was just 6 weeks old. Even if I hadn't heard about Tony's story before, when I arrived it was clear he was a special dog with deep soul. When first contacted about doing a session, this handsome boy's proud mom had written, although recently retired "Tony visited terminally ill children. He had the ability to sense when a child's death was imminent (24 hours or less). After a year of never 'missing', the doctors/nurses began to notify family. There were countless times when parent(s) that were about to 'take a break' (going back home, to work, business trip, etc) but stayed close by when told of Tony's alert. I have dozens and dozens of letters from parents, siblings, nurses, doctors telling me what a gift Tony has and the incredible joy he brought to so many children."

New to the family is Tony's little Corgi sister. Just 6 months old, Rosie can bring a smile to anyone's face with her fun and playful ways!
