They need our help now more than ever due to a fire!!... We have donated a session to them as well as we will having our own raffle at the booth to raise a little extra for all those lovable critters in need of homes. Photo Day at Alternatives for Animals

Anyone familiar with my photography knows how much I just LOVE pet abstracts and close ups! So you can imagine how happy I was to get a call from Dr. Rettig at Alternatives for Animals in Lafayette, asking me to decorate her walls with my photography. She also wanted the animals on the wall to be the of her practice,... so we held a photo day right there in the treatment room and got lots of fun shots! We're in the selection process now but soon my images will decorate the walls of her holistic practice. Here are a few of my favorites from the day...

Indigo knows just how lucky she is to have found her forever home with Crystal and C.J.! This shy 6 year old girl, rescued through Nor Cal Weim Rescue, is coming out of her shell nicely thanks to all the love and care in her new family.

What better way to start the week than to have a session at Crissy Field with a gorgeous Samoyed?!... Baillie (aka Mr. B Bear) is a championed show dog but that wasn't what was on his mind. This 11 year old boy had all his attention on the ball, even when human mom, Fiona, wanted to give him a little lovin hug...

Emily is a dear friend of mine... We were roommates many, many years ago... Emily always wanted to get married, move to Novato and have a family... by golly, she's done it! Three and a half year old Roy has taken to calling the belly "Grape"...

3.5 months, 4.5 pounds... 100% cuteness!

Golden Love

You never know how love will find you. Apricot was a neighbor's dog that Kimberly would occasionally dog sit and hang out with... but it was more. There was a connection. Over the years the neighbor's family grew, adding another dog and a few children. Eventually they decided to move back to the East Coast. Not wanting to see sweet Apricot leave, Kimberly let the neighbors know of her attachment to this golden dog and that her home was open to him. They let him stay. I believe it was meant to be. Their connection is evident. This 11 year old boy has the love and spirit of a pup.
